Schmersal Solenoid Interlock Switch, Power to Unlock, M16 - EX-AZM 161 Series - EX-AZM 161SK-12/12RK-024-3D

Ensure the safe operation of your system's machinery in harsh industrial environments with this reliable solenoid switch from Schmersal. It's a versatile solution for preventing hinged, sliding and removable guarding devices from opening when hazardous conditions are present. Two NO (normally open) and two NC (normally closed) safety contacts, in addition to one NO and one NC auxiliary contact, provide efficient processing. For added protection, the glass-fibre reinforced thermoplastic housing will self-extinguish in the event of a fire.

Features & Benefits

• Large wiring compartment allows for ease of access to connections
• ATEX (ATmosphères EXplosibles) certified for use in potentially explosive environments
• IP67 (ingress protection) rating means it's dust-tight and can withstand temporary submersion in up to 1m of water

Applications

• Industrial processing
• Robotics
• Pharmaceutical manufacturing

How do you mount this component?

This interlock switch uses a simple screw connection that makes it simple to secure in place on any flat surface.

Is this device prone to incorrect locking?

No, this device's interlock system is protected against incorrect locking by separating the actuator from the switch. The latching bolt blocks the actuator so that it can't be withdrawn from the interlock, improving safety during use.
