Schmersal Solenoid Interlock Switch, Power-to-Unlock, 24V AC/DC - AZM 170 Series - 02ZRI-B1 24VAC/DC

Need to keep a guard door or gate locked while dangerous processes are in operation? This solenoid interlock switch from Schmersal locks securely to prevent access to hazardous machinery such as circular saws. Thanks to the individually coded actuator, the device is tamperproof and can't be unlocked using an incorrectly coded actuator. The glass fibre-reinforced thermoplastic housing material is resistant to impact and heat for use in harsh environments. It's also self-extinguishing in the event of a fire for added safety.

Features & Benefits

• IP67 (ingress protection) rating means it's dust-tight and protected against submersion in 1m of water for up to 30 minutes
• IDC (insulation-displacement contact) termination for a simple and secure connection
• High clamping force of 1000N to keep doors firmly shut
• Long mechanical lifespan of 1,000,000 operations for long-lasting performance

Applications

• Sliding doors
• Industrial machinery

How do power-to-unlock solenoid interlock switches work?

Power-to-unlock solenoid switches like this one have an internal solenoid that's energised by an external circuit. This creates a magnetic field that moves a plunger inside the solenoid coil, providing the mechanical force to unlock the gate.
