Phoenix Contact Fibre Optic Converter, DIN Rail Mount - PSI-MOS-RS485W2/FO 850 E - 2708339

Use this fibre optic converter from Phoenix Contact for interference-free communication between devices in an ethernet system. It connects copper-based cabling systems to fibre optic networks for the swift and uninterrupted transfer of data.

The converter is completely immune to outside electrical interference to enhance the performance and safety of your system. It's able to bridge long distances while maintaining a fast data transmission rate. The unit includes connection monitoring that constantly ensures no signals are lost without the operator being aware of a fault. Bright LEDs (light-emitting diodes) give a clear and quick visual indication of its operational status.

This unit is suited to DIN rail mounting and has a small and compact design to improve packing efficiency in your control system. Its enclosure is IP20 (ingress protection) rated which means the converter is safely protected from touch and large dirt particles.

• ATEX-approved for use in areas where explosive atmospheres may occur

• Pluggable screw connection for secure installation

• Low typical current consumption of 120mA (24V DC)

Fibre Optic Converters

Industrial modules that enable conversion of RS232, RS422, RS485, CAN, CANopen and deviceNET communication supports to an 850 Nm Fibre Optic connection.

A diagnostic system monitors the fibre optic section. This allows the line status to be signalled via LEDs placed on the front and via an output switch, which is activated when the connection is critical.

Fibre optic connection with B-FOC(ST®) or FSMA and MINICONEC screw terminal for the copper part and D-sub 9 for the PROFIBUS version.

Operating temperature: -20 °C → 60 °C
