Eaton MTL Solenoid and Alarm Signal Conditioner, 1.4 to 4.5V DC Input, 7.8 to 24V Output - MTL5525

This signal conditioner from Eaton allows an on/off device in a hazardous area to be controlled by a volt-free contact or logic signal in a safe area. It's suitable for use with low-power devices that are certified as intrinsically safe or classified as simple, non-energy storing apparatus. This includes LEDs, solenoids and alarms. For greater safety, the device includes a second safe-area switch connection. This lets you disable an output and override a control signal if necessary. The signal conditioner features a green LED power indicator and a yellow output status indicator for quick and convenient visual inspection.

Features & Benefits

• Wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +60°C for use in demanding environments
• Easy to clip onto a standard DIN rail for rapid assembly
• Broad output range of 7.8 to 24V offers greater versatility
• Electrically isolated ports, so there's minimal chance of shocks to operators

How do I tell the difference between the safe and hazardous connectors in this device?

It's easy to identify the safe and hazardous connectors thanks to its convenient colour-coding. Safe connectors are grey and the hazardous connection points are blue.
