Eaton MTL Signal Conditioning Isolating Driver, 20 to 35V DC Supply Voltage, 4 to 20mA Output - MTL5582B

To reduce the risk of ground loop currents or electrical noise interfering with your signal transmission, use this signal conditioning isolator from Eaton. It provides intrinsically safe (IS) communication and signal conditioning for resistance temperature devices in hazardous areas. The device offers total AC and DC isolation between an input, output and power supply for greater safety. Its bright LED indicator lets you quickly inspect if the device is on. Signal conditioning isolators like this one are commonly used in testing laboratories and industrial applications to improve the accuracy and reliability of measurements across a wide temperature range.

Features & Benefits

• Extended operating temperature range of -20°C to +60°C, making it compatible with demanding environments
• Quickly clips onto a DIN rail for fast installation
• Reliable screw terminals hold wires securely, even when vibration is present
• Wide output range of 10 to 400 ohms for greater versatility

Do I need to ground the DIN rail that this device is mounted on?

Yes, it's recommended that the DIN rail should be earthed to ensure the safety of personnel in the event of an AC mainline power supply being accidentally applied to the rail.
