Sick YF8U13-050UA1XLEAX Series Sensor Actuator Cable, 5m Cable Length, Black Jacket - YF8U13-050UA1XLEAX / 2094788

This sensor actuator cable provides a flexible connection between M8 sensor heads and control wiring in industrial settings. Designed for use in harsh environments, it links three-pin M8 female connectors to unterminated free ends and is intended for signal and actuator transmission where oil resistance and continuous movement are required.

Features & Benefits

• 5 m length supporting long-reach installations
• Polyurethane jacket for oil and lubricant resistance
• Rated for ≤60V enabling low-voltage actuator circuits
• Unshielded 3-wire design simplifies termination to devices
• IP65/IP66K/IP67 protection for wet and washdown areas
• 4A current capacity for moderate sensor/actuator loads

Applications

• Suitable for sensors on production lines with lubricant exposure
• Used for connection to actuator modules in machine tools
• Ideal for drag-chain installations in conveyor systems
• Suitable for OEM sensor wiring in automation cabinets
• Used for field wiring of proximity and photoelectric sensors

What connector types are fitted at each end?

One end has a straight female M8 3-pin connector with screw termination and the other end is left as flying leads for custom termination.

How does the cable perform under continuous motion?

It supports drag-chain operation with a bending radius greater than 10x cable diameter and is specified for 10,000,000 bending cycles and 2,000,000 torsion cycles at 180°/1 m.

What temperature ranges can it tolerate in use?

For flexible use the operating range is −25 °C to +80 °C, while stationary routing extends to −40 °C to +80 °C and the connector head to −25 °C to +85 °C.

What electrical stress limits apply to the conductor?

The conductor cross-section is 0.25 mm², rated impulse withstand is 1.5 kV, insulation resistance is 100 MΩ and specific conductor resistance is 30 mΩ.

Are there mechanical handling limits for dynamic applications?

Maximum traversing speed is 3 m/s, permitted travelling distance is 10m and acceleration should not exceed 10 m/s².
