Sick Sensor Actuator Cable, 5m Cable Length, 3 Contacts - YF8U13-050UA1M8U13 / 2096308

This sensor-actuator cable connects sensors and actuators in industrial control systems, providing a robust M8-to-M8 linkage for signal and power transmission in demanding environments. It is designed for use where Compact 3-contact connections and resistance to oils, movement and ambient extremes are required, and it is fitted with screw-lock M8 connectors of opposite genders for simple inline installation.

Features & Benefits

• 5 m length enables extended reach without splices
• 3-pin A-coded connectors deliver three-contact signalling and power
• Polyurethane jacket resists oils and offers flexibility
• Rated for ≤60V enabling low-voltage control circuits
• IP65 IP66K IP67 enclosure ensures ingress protection in harsh settings
• Supports 10,000,000 bending cycles for high-flex applications

Applications

• Suitable for connecting proximity sensors to control modules in conveyors
• Ideal for use in automated assembly lines with moving cable runs
• Used for linking actuators in robotic end-of-arm tooling
• Can be used for sensor arrays in production test rigs
• Suitable for installation in drag chains and dynamic cable carriers

What connector genders are provided and how do they secure?

One end is a female M8 with a screw-locking nut and the other end is a male M8

both are A-coded and tightened to 0.4 N·m torque for reliable mechanical and electrical contact.

How does the cable behave in continuous motion installations?

It is specified for drag-chain operation with a minimum bending radius greater than 10x cable diameter, maximum traversing speed 3 m/s and travel up to 10m to accommodate dynamic runs.

What temperatures can it withstand during service?

Flexible use is rated from −25 °C to +80 °C, stationary installations from −40 °C to +80 °C and connector heads up to +85 °C for varied operating conditions.

What electrical load and safety parameters apply?

Conductor cross-section is 0.25 mm², current loading ≤4 A, rated impulse voltage 1.5 kV and insulation resistance typically 100 MΩ.

Is the cable suitable for use where halogen-free materials are required?

The cable jacket and connector TPU are halogen-free and the assembly meets specified flame-retardant tests for cable insulation.
