Sick YF2A15-100VB5XLEAX Series Sensor Actuator Cable, 10m Cable Length, 5 Contacts - YF2A15-100VB5XLEAX / 2096241

This sensor actuator cable provides a robust connection solution for industrial automation, linking M12 devices to controllers or field wiring via a female M12 plug to unterminated free ends. It is intended for use where reliable signal transmission and environmental protection are required across sensors and actuators in factory and process settings.

Features & Benefits

• Five conductors with practical 0.34mm² cross-section for control signals
• Rated for ≤125V allowing common sensor and actuator voltages
• IP65/IP66K/IP67 protection for wet and washdown environments
• PVC jacket in grey resistant to chemicals and flame-rated to VW1/FT1
• 10m length offering extended reach without additional joints
• Current capacity 4A to support typical device loads

Applications

• Suitable for connecting proximity sensors to PLC inputs in production lines
• Ideal for wiring actuators in automated assembly machinery
• used with distributed I/O modules requiring M12 female connections
• Can be used for sensor networks in washdown food-industry zones
• Suitable for retrofit cabling where free-end termination is needed

What connector types are provided on each end?

One end features a straight female M12, 5-pin, A-coded plug and the opposite end is supplied as flying leads for field termination.

How does the cable handle mechanical flexing?

For dynamic applications the minimum bending radius is greater than 10x the cable diameter, while stationary installations require greater than 5x diameter.

What temperature ranges are acceptable during operation?

The cable core is rated for flexible use from −5 °C to +80 °C, and for stationary routing from −30 °C to +80 °C, with the connector head rated to −25 °C to +85 °C.

Is shielding provided and how are terminations secured?

The assembly is unshielded and the connector employs a screw-type locking nut with a 0.6 Nm tightening torque and SW13 spanner flats.

What approvals and electrical characteristics are relevant for integration?

It carries CE and UL recognition with a rated impulse voltage of 1.5 kV, insulation resistance around 100 MΩ, and specific insulation resistance near 30 mΩ.
