440R-B23020 Safety Relay

This Minotaur MSR5T single channel safety relay has a power supply voltage of 24V ac/dc and automatic/manual reset. It has a 2 NC input, 3 safety outputs, and 1 NC relay output. The enclosure has an environmental protection rating of IP40 (NEMA 1), while the terminal protection is IP20. It is comprised of durable Polyamide PA 6.6 and has an operating temperature range of 5 to +55°C (23…131°F). This unit can be mounted to a 35mm DIN Rail for easy installation.

What are Safety Relays?

Safety relays are devices which are used to monitor for errors or faults in a machine safety system, and can implement safety commands when they detect these errors to bring the risk down to an acceptable level. By doing this, they defend against hazards which could cause injury to personnel and damage to machinery. Single function relays manage one specific function, while multi-function relays can oversee different activities. Safety relays can also be connected to each other. They are often used in industrial environments such as factories, as part of a safety control circuit for dangerous machines. Typical applications include: safety mats, emergency stop push-buttons, light curtains, and magnetic switches. Rockwell Automation offer high-quality, reliable safety relays which give exceptional performance and ensure maximum protection and productivity.

Rockwell Automation Minotaur MSR5T, Single Channel Safety Relay

The Minotaur MSR5T Safety Relay by Rockwell Automation ensures dependable fault detection in a safety control system and reliable protection for people and machinery in the workplace. This safety relay has a single channel input operation and is ideal for use with interlock switches and emergency stop devices, helping you to maximise safety and minimise downtime.

To operate the MSR5T a supply voltage must be applied via the safety device. It features 3NO (Normally Open) Safety Outputs and 1NC (Normally Closed) Auxiliary for control indication.

Features and Benefits:

• Fail-safe internal monitoring for superior performance

• Ensures correct switching of up to 3 contactors with monitoring

• Single channel input for use with interlock switches and emergency stop buttons

• 3 uncommitted safety output circuits and provides a contactor monitoring facility and auxiliary output for indication purposes

• Power failure on safety critical internal faults result in a lock-out to a safe state

Standards:

EN 60204; EN 292
