Configurable device capable of centralised monitoring of multiple safety functions such as E-stops, safety interlocks, magnetic safety interlocks, two hand controllers, light curtains, zero speed detection, enabling switches. Designed to provide a solution for safety applications requiring conformity to category 4 of standard EN 954-1/ISO 13849-1 and SIL 3 requirements of standard IEC 61508. Incorporates an interface for communicating with operator dialogue terminals (Magelis) or PLCs.

30 certified safety functions can be assigned to the safety outputs, these are configured using the XPS MCWIN software (see stock no 464-899)

Required safety function can be selected after receipt of the product.

Note

Stock numbers 464-946 and 464-930 are starter kits. These contain the safety controller, XPS-MCWIN configuration software, USB to 8 pin male connector cable, 8 pin female mini DIN to RJ45 cable, sub 25 way male connector to RJ45 cable, cage clamp terminal set and screw clamp terminal set
To connect XPS-MC to a PC for programming and diagnostic purposes:
Laptop PC with 9 pin serial port: use RS 382-2645 and 544-490
Laptop PC with USB port: use RS 464-962 and RS 218-080
