Allen Bradley Guardmaster 440E-L22BNSM Lifeline 4 Cable Switch with E-Stop
Maximise safety for personnel around moving machinery by providing constant emergency stop access with the 440E Lifeline 4 Cable Switch with E-Stop, 75m span, by Allen Bradley Guardmaster.
The Cable Pull switches have a steel wire rope which is connected to latching pull switches, so that when the rope is pulled in any direction along the length the switch is tripped to stop the machine, minimising risk of injury and risk of damage to machinery.
The 440E-L22BNSM is an emergency stop grab wire switch with 2NO/2NC contact configuration. Conduit entry is M20, and it has an operating temperature of -25°C to 80°C (-13…176°). It has an electrical current rating of 2A at a voltage rating 24VDC and a current rating 4A at a voltage rating 600VAC. This switch is ideally suited for use with awkward machinery, such as conveyor belts.
The Lifeline 4 switch is a versatile Wire Pull Switch which incorporates many features in one unit to provide uniquely exceptional protection, ease-of-use and installation, and resilience, such as:
• It has a cable status indicator, allowing for simple set up and easy maintenance for spans of up to 75m.
• It also features a mushroom head emergency stop button for E-stop access at the extreme ends of the span.
• This unit has robust stainless-steel 316 housing and is suitable for external use and harsh conditions, as well as hygiene requirement applications, and situations where durability against corrosion is necessary. It is also environmentally sealed to IP66 and IP69K.
• This switch has a positive mode mechanism, ensuring that the contacts are instantly latched open upon actuation. They can be reset only through intentional action by turning the blue reset knob. Its design defends against nuisance tripping and the effects of thermal expansion.

What is a cable pull switch?
A cable pull switch, also known as grab wire switches or rope pull switches, are a common type of emergency stop device and safeguarding measure. They allow personnel to stop moving machinery anywhere along its length instead of at just one point on the machine and can be used over a long distance. This is useful if there is a chance that someone may become entangled in lengthy moving machinery, such as conveyor belts. These devices are hung by a wire around the machinery and can be operated by pulling the cord. This isolates the circuit and stops the hazard.
