This device is designed to meet the stringent requirements of ISO 13850 (Safety of Machinery—Emergency Stop Equipment).

The Cable Pull switches have a steel wire rope which is connected to latching pull switches, so that when the rope is pulled in any direction along the length the switch is tripped to stop the machine, minimising risk of injury and risk of damage to machinery.

The 440E-D13118 Lifeline 3 switch has 2 Normally Closed, 2 Normally Open contact configuration and switches a span of up to 30 m (98 ft). It has M20 conduit entry and an operating temperature of -20°C to +80°C (-4…+176 °F). The enclosure has an environmental protection rating of IP67, which ensures that it is both dust-tight and can withstand temporary immersion in water. The housing material is made of robust heavy-duty painted zinc-based die-cast alloy to withstand hard conditions, ensuring optimal durability. It also has a yellow body with a blue reset button for quick and easy identification in a panic situation. It has an electrical current rating of 2A at a voltage rating 24VDC and a current rating 4A at a voltage rating 600VAC. This switch is perfectly suited for use with awkward machinery, such as conveyor belts.

This grab wire switch features a cable status indicator for easy set up and system maintenance. It also has a positive mode mechanism, ensuring that the contacts are instantly latched open upon actuation. They can be reset only through intentional action by turning the blue reset knob. Its design defends against nuisance tripping and the effects of thermal expansion.

A cable pull switch, also known as grab wire switches or rope pull switches, are a common type of emergency stop device and safeguarding measure.
