SKF Tapered Roller Bearing, 55mm OD, 30mm ID - 32006 X

This single-row tapered roller bearing from SKF is suitable for handling radial loads combined with single-direction axial loads. Its limiting speed of 12,000rpm makes it suitable for very high speeds of rotation. As the contact angle increases, so does the axial load-carrying capacity of the bearing. It's an open-end type bearing, which makes it well-suited for use in clean environments, where there's no need to protect the raceway from dirt. The open end allows the lubricant to travel freely to support smooth running.

• Tapered bore allows the transfer of a load evenly while rolling
• Static load rating of 44kN means it's suitable for carrying very high loads

Applications

• Wind energy equipment
• Machine tools
• Steel mills

Why are single-row tapered roller bearings mounted in pairs?

Single-row tapered roller bearings can take axial loads in one direction only. For this reason, they're usually mounted against a second tapered roller bearing, in order to handle the forces generated in the bearing by radial loads as well as the axial loads in both directions.
