Schneider Electric Residual Current Circuit Breaker, 6A, 30mA Trip Sensitivity - Acti9 Series - A9D11806

Protect people and equipment from overload and short circuits with this residual circuit breaker from Schneider Electric. It eliminates the risk of prolonged and potentially serious shock for improved electrical safety in your workplace. A red indicator on the unit's front face gives you a quick visual indication of when it's tripped a faulty current. This device can be quickly snapped to a DIN rail and is suitable for industrial isolation applications.

Features & Benefits

• Green indicator strip to signal when the contacts are completely open and it's safe to work on the downstream circuit
• IP20 (ingress protection) rated insulation terminals indicates they're touch-proof and protected against objects larger than 12mm
• Stops leakage current from potentially causing an electrical fire for improved safety levels

Applications

• Commercial lighting systems
• Industrial process control
• Residential electrical control cabinets

What is overcurrent?

Overcurrent is a type of electrical fault that's caused by either an overload or short circuit in an electrical system. It's possible to overload a circuit by connecting too many electrical devices and exceeding the power capacity of a cable. Short circuits occur when there's insufficient resistance in a circuit.
