Featuring a spring-loaded, gold-plated retracting element around the centre contact, the ProFi Professional phono plug ensures that when the plug is mated, a ground contact is made before the signal. Conversely, when the plug is disconnected, the signal is broken before ground. This prevents damage to equipment, disturbing ’noises’ and broken speaker cones.
