CC2630 series 2.4GHz RF System-on-Chip


The SimpleLink™ CC2630 is a Cortex-M3/M0 based wireless System-On-Chip designed for 2.4GHz IEEE 802.15.4, ZigBee and 6LoWPAN wireless protocol applications. The CC26xx can function either as a Wireless Network Processor (a device running the wireless protocol stack, with the application running on a separate MCU), or as a stand-alone SoC. The ROM provides pre-programmed embedded TI RTOS kernel, Driverlib and lower-layer protocol stack firmware (802.15.4 MAC). It also contains a bootloader that can be used to reprogram the device using SPI or UART. The CC2630 is ideal for battery powered and energy harvesting end nodes in ZigBee/6LoWPAN networks.
