FLUKE Multimeter, 9V Alkaline Battery, 6kV Surge Protection - FLUKE-115

Test electric circuits and not your patience with this easy-to-use multimeter from FLUKE. A simple turn of the dial allows you to switch between resistance, capacitance and diode, as well as continuity and frequency modes. The large numbers on the digital display mean there's no squinting to see your readings, while a backlight brightens the LED screen, so you can carry out work in dark spaces. The multimeter is ergonomically designed to fit in your palm, leaving your other hand free to position the test leads. On the back of this nifty device is a flip-out stand to sit it up on your bench, and loops to tuck the probes away when they're not in use.

Features & Benefits

• 600V AC/DC measurement for use on multiple systems
• Efficient 400-hour battery life for long-term performance
• Surge protection to prevent device damage
• Wide operating temperature range between -10°C and +50°C for use in harsh conditions

Applications

• Commercial and domestic power supplies
• Automotive industry
• Medical equipment

What's the difference between RMS and True-RMS multimeters?

True RMS multimeters like this one give more accurate readings than their RMS counterparts. They cancel multiple noise sources by testing several samples of peak and other values that affect readings.

Can I use this multimeter in poorly-lit areas?

Yes, its large LED screen has a backlight that helps you keep your eye on the ball when you're working in the dark.
