RS PRO Hook Up Wire - 17 AWG
Our RS PRO range of hook up wires keeps on improving. We are pleased to introduce a new series of flexible hook-up wire perfect for internal wiring and electrical cable applications. These electrical hook-up wires are supplied on a reel with red or black insulated sheaths, and available in 100-metre length.
Upon inspection the cables are solid, extremely robust, core strands are made from copper and have a voltage rating of 600 V. The equipment wires are protected with insulation made from high-quality silicone rubber ensuring the cables are reliable and meet the criteria for installation.
What is a hook-up wire?
Hook up wire, or copper wire/equipment wire as it's also called is primarily used for low or high voltage applications. Copper strands are insulated and act as the conductor of electricity to power its target.
What is hook up wire used for?
These type of hook-up wires are frequently found within the everyday household and workplace appliances. If a device has multiple wires to operate, hook up wire will usually be installed with different sheath colours on their respective terminals.
