Dual 100W USB-PD Automotive Charging System

The ON Semiconductor STR-USBC-2PORT-100W-EVK is 2-port, 100W USB-PD source which houses a wide selection of power solutions. This evaluation board is designed to enable development and prototyping of USB-PD (USB Power Delivery) Automotive applications. USB-PD is a very advanced and fast charging protocol.
The STR-USBC-2PORT-100W-EVK is designed for wearables, notebook computers, monitors, consumer electronics, point of sale and USB-PD systems. It is also designed for automotive use, such as; automotive infotainment, charging systems, industrial transportation, commercial transportation and marine applications.
All ports are 100W capable. A power foldback feature is in place to ensure the device is not damaged if there are high on-board temperatures.

Strata Developer Studio can be used alongside your STR-USBC-2PORT-100W-EVK board to test power profile configurations, for example optional “assured” port 1 power. You can also trial fault and foldback features and monitor system telemetry while charging different load devices.
