Harting HanA Series Heavy Duty Power Connector Insert, 16A Current Rating, 600V Voltage - 09200162612

This heavy-duty power connector insert is a male, panel-mount electrical insert designed for power distribution in industrial environments. It provides a straight-orientation 16+E pole arrangement and is intended for integration into heavy-duty connectors used across automation, electrical and mechanical systems where a compact, serviceable power Interface is required.

Features & Benefits

• Rated for 16 A enabling moderate power distribution
• Silver-plated copper alloy contacts minimise contact resistance
• Screw termination accepts 0.75–2.5 mm² conductors for flexible wiring
• Panel mounting with M3 fixing screws for secure installation
• Withstands temperature range −40 to +125 °C for wide environments
• Rated impulse voltage 4 kV to resist transient stresses

Applications

• Suitable for machine control power feeds in automation panels
• Ideal for distribution to field devices in industrial cabinets
• Used with heavy-duty enclosures for modular power connections
• Can be used for power linking in manufacturing equipment
• Suitable for renewable energy subassemblies requiring detachable power

What conductor cross-section does it accept for terminations?

Termination screws accommodate conductors from 0.75 mm² up to 2.5 mm² and are tightened to specified torques for secure connections.

How many mating cycles can the insert withstand?

The insert is specified for at least 500 mating cycles, supporting repeated connection and maintenance operations.

Which contact material and finish are used to improve conductivity?

Contacts are formed from a copper alloy and finished with a silver plating to provide low-resistance contact surfaces.

What electrical ratings apply for industrial mains and transient protection?

The insert carries a current rating of 16 A and a rated impulse voltage of 4 kV, with a rated voltage up to 600V as per UL categorisation.

What tightening torques are recommended for secure installation?

Contact screws and fixing screws use M3 threads tightened to 0.5 Nm and the protective-earth screw uses M3.5 tightened to 0.8 Nm.

Note

Two 16P + E inserts may be accommodated within a ’Size’ 32A housing (typical stock no 363-7964)

Approvals

UL, CSA, SEV

Warning

These connectors should not be mated or unmated under electrical load. Connectors of the same or different types arranged in a line should be polarised to prevent the possibility of wrong connection.
