Honeywell HSC Series Pressure Sensor, ±0.25% Accuracy, -1in/H2O Minimum Operating Pressure - HSCDRRN001NDAA3

This pressure sensor is a piezoresistive board-mounted device designed to measure absolute, gauge or differential pressures in applications using non-corrosive, non-ionic gases and select liquids. It provides a ratiometric analogue or digital Interface and is temperature-compensated for stable output across working conditions, making it suitable for embedded PCB installations where frequent recalibration is impractical.

Features and Benefits:

• ±0.25% accuracy pressure transducer reduces calibration requirements
• -1in/H2O minimum pressure sensor enables ultra-low pressure detection
• Dual radial barbed port pressure sensor simplifies tubing connections
• Operates from -20 to +85°C for extended industrial use
• Board mount package with DIP package for simple PCB integration
• Low power consumption (<10mW typical) enables battery operation

Applications

• Suitable for respiratory machinery and ventilators
• Ideal for airflow monitoring in HVAC systems
• Used with gas flow instrumentation and chromatography
• Can be used for clogged HVAC filter detection
• Suitable for portable oxygen concentrators and nebulisers

What output options are available for interfacing?

The device provides ratiometric analogue output or a 14-bit digital SPI/I2C-compatible output with minimum 12-bit sensor resolution.

How fast does the sensor update pressure readings?

Calibrated output values update at approximately 1kHz for analogue versions and 2kHz for digital versions.

What media and environmental conditions are supported?

Primarily non-corrosive, non-ionic gases, liquid-media option available for Port1 on ranges ≥60mbar, Plus humidity and vibration resilience per datasheet.

What are the operating and compensated temperature limits?

The sensor operates from -20°C to 85°C and is characterised over a compensated range of 0°C to 50°C for specified performance.

How is stability and long-term performance addressed?

On-board calibration and temperature compensation reduce drift and provide industry-leading stability for reduced recalibration needs.
