Honeywell Pressure Sensor, 0 to 5psi Pressure Range, 8 to 20mA Supply Current - 140PC05 Series - 142PC05D

Choose this pressure sensor from Honeywell for accurate pressure detection in your pneumatic applications. It's a piezoresistive sensor, which means it reads the change in electrical resistance on a silicone semiconductor and converts it to a pressure value. Thanks to its fast response time of 1ms, it gives you quick results for real-time monitoring. Its operating pressure range of 0 to 5psi means it's suitable for use in low-pressure applications.

Features & Benefits

• Wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C for use in demanding conditions

• Supply current range of 8 to 20mA for use in low-power applications

Applications

• Medical equipment

• Automotive industries

How does a differential gas pressure sensor work?

A differential gas pressure sensor like this one measures the difference in pressure between its two ports.

Piezo-resistive pressure sensors

The 142PC series pressure sensors are piezo-resistive devices with semiconductors, which are perfectly suited to exact pressure measurements.

A silicon membrane generates a linear output signal proportional to the pressure, with no ripple.

The advanced technology of these sensors gives them great sensitivity, high reliability, low hysteresis, very short response times and long stability over time.

Two types:
- absolute: measurement relative to a perfect vacuum
- differential: measurement of the difference between two pressures.
