The MikroElektronika Add-on Board is designed for safe fast and efficient charging of single-cell Li-Ion and Li-Polymer batteries making it Ideal for portable electronics and accessories. It integrates the BQ25638 switch-mode charger from Texas Instruments which delivers up to 5A charging current with NVDC power path management and optimized input handling. With support for USB Type-C input and I2C communication the board enables Advanced monitoring and control while ensuring protection through thermal regulation overvoltage and overcurrent safeguards.
