This power cord is terminated on one end with an IEC C14 type connector that connects to the appliance. Power cable assemblies are electrical cables that are pre-terminated with a plug or socket connector. Power cable assemblies can be terminated with connectors on both ends of the cable, or just one. Depending on the application, there are various types to suit a wide range of requirements.

This power cord is terminated with a fully moulded IEC C14 plug which is used to connect the cable to a mating IEC C13 connector in an appliance or as a socket extension. C13 and C14 connectors have 3 pins, a rated current of 10 A and a maximum temperature rating of 70°C, and are sometimes referred to as ’cold connectors’.
