DC Power Adaptor Leads

From RS Pro a high-quality DC adapter cable assembly for connecting a DC (direct current) source such as a power supply to an electrical device or for making a connection between two DC devices. This DC power cable assembly has a DC power connector on one end and the other end is unterminated to allow direct soldering into equipment. DC power cable assemblies are typically used to power small to medium appliances.

What is a DC Power Cable Assembly?

A DC power cable assembly sometimes referred to as a DC power cord, is an electrical cable used to make a connection between two DC devices or a DC appliance to a DC power source such as a power supply. The cable assembly is terminated at both ends with a DC power connector which can be a plug or a socket (these are sometimes referred to as barrel connectors). One end of the cable is connected to the DC power source and the other end is connected to the equipment that needs to be powered. These plugs or sockets usually have a straight or right angle orientation to allow for design flexibility. This DC power lead cable has a connector at just one end with bare wires at the other. The advantage of this is that one end of the cable to be soldered directly into the equipment which allows for custom installations

Where are DC Power Cables Used?
