Comparing the emf of a battery cell with a standard cell
Measuring the internal resistance of a battery cell

How does potentiometer work?
Most potentiometer knobs are simply fixed on manually with a simple push by fitting it to the shaft. They either have a knob, screw, grub, or slider as a fixture that is used as a control element to vary the resistance between the middle terminal and either one of the outer terminals for the potentiometer.
