RS PRO 3/2 Pneumatic Solenoid Valve Solenoid/Spring G 1/8 in MDS Series


This pneumatic control valve from RS PRO is used to manage air flow in pneumatic systems. It's set up in a 3/2 configuration, which means it has three ports and two switching positions. Valves of this kind are commonly used in applications including pressure release and vacuum systems.

The free-standing valve is operated by an energy-efficient solenoid. A spring returns the valve to its starting function when de-energised. The valve fits onto a standard G 1/8 in thread.

As an intrinsically safe valve, it's ATEX-approved for use in hazardous areas (explosive atmospheres). It can handle a flow rate of 450 litres a minute and works at pressures between 2 bar and 10 bar. This kind of solenoid-spring valve is commonly used to control pneumatic cylinders or pneumatic actuators in industries including the food and beverage, chemical and water sectors.
