Festo Monostable Solenoid Valve, Electrical, M7, 10 mm - VUVG Series - VUVG-L10-M52-RT-M7-1P3

This Festo electrically-operated solenoid valve is compact and sturdy with a high flow rate of 330 l/m. Its operating temperature range of -5°C to +50°C makes it suitable for harsh environments. The monostable function means flow stops if the system loses power and the coil spring holds the valve in its home position until the solenoid is activated. Valves like this are commonly used to control double-acting cylinders that need two outlet ports.

• Aluminium alloy body for durability and corrosion-resistance
• Two independent exhaust ports offer extra control possibilities
• Manifold mounting style for easier scaling of the system
• Operating pressure range of 2.5 to 8 bar to handle a variety of applications
• Switching-on time of 7 milliseconds provides rapid actuation of the valve

Application Information

• Robotics
• Textile manufacture
• High-pressure cleaning

What's the difference between monostable and bistable valves?

Monostable valves (with one solenoid coil) need less wiring and PLC (programmable logic controller) outputs than bistable valves. They're also better suited to more stringent safety requirements as they always return to their home position after power loss.

Is the Festo 5/2 monostable solenoid valve suitable for base mounting?

The valve's aluminium body means that it can be securely base mounted.
