FESTO VSNC Series Solenoid Valves - Pneumatic Flow Control Valve

Introducing our VSNC solenoid valve series from FESTO. The series feature valves that are called "Pilot Valves". These Valves are used for single and double acting quarter turn linear actuators. The valves are convertible and could be changed from 3/2 way to 5/2 way through turning the seal 180°. This feature allows you to operate single or double acting actuators with one valve. These solenoid valves meet the highest safety standards.

Features and Benefits

• Port pattern in accordance with VDI/VDE 3845 - Such as DRD/DRE, DAPS, DFPB and DLP
• Mounting can be achieved on actuators without a NAMUR interface. (must be with appropriate accessory - i.e.: Connection Kit)
• A great solution for process automation
• Mechanical springs (single-solenoid valves) ensure safe switching to the initial position - in the event of a power failure
• Conversion from 3/2-way to 5/2-way valve through turning the seal, single solenoid
• Facilitates single or double acting actuators, controlled with one valve
• Durable and robust
• Mechanical spring reset
• Operating temperature ranges between -20°C to 60°C
• They can be used in process automation

Did you know?

Solenoid valves generate a magnetic field from an electric current, in turn they operate a mechanism used to regulate the opening of fluid flow valves.

Festo VSNC Series Pneumatic Solenoid Valves, 3/2 Function, G 1/4 Connection Port Thread - VSNC-FTC-M52-MD-G14-FN, Numeric Part Number: 577277

This pneumatic solenoid valve is designed to enhance efficiency in automation applications. Featuring a compact width of 32mm, it supports both 3/2 and 5/2 configurations, making it versatile for various tasks. The valve operates with an electrical actuation mechanism and is made from durable wrought aluminium alloy, ensuring longevity and reliability even in demanding environments.

Features & Benefits

• Achieves high flow rates of up to 800 l/min
• Features a mechanical spring reset for consistent performance
• Compatible with NAMUR interface for easy integration
• Maintains functionality in temperatures ranging from -20 to +60 °C

Applications

• Used for controlling compressed air in industrial systems
• Ideal for automation processes requiring precise control
• Suitable for systems with both electrical and pneumatic components
• Effective in demanding quick switching times

What is the significance of the operating pressure range?

The valve operates within a pressure range of 2.5 to 8 bar, providing flexibility for a variety of pneumatic applications. This range allows it to maintain performance under different operational conditions, making it suitable for diverse industrial setups.

How does the mechanical spring reset function enhance usability?

The mechanical spring reset ensures that the valve returns to a default state once actuation ceases. This feature is crucial for maintaining control over pneumatic circuits, reducing the risk of unintended operation when power is interrupted.

What are the advantages of using this valve in automation processes?

This valve’s ability to handle both 3/2 and 5/2 configurations allows for greater flexibility in design, making it suitable for complex automation systems. Its high flow rate capabilities enable efficient operation in tasks requiring significant air movement.
