VP series valves allow safe venting of compressed air to atmosphere and can be used in category 2 safety systems conforming to ISO standard ISO13849-1. The residual pressure release valve is fitted with a limit switch enabling the valves state (energised or de-energised) to be constantly monitored. If the valve fails, the limit switch can be used to prevent operation until repairs can be carried out.

The VP series valves are designed to be used as part of safety control systems where compressed air systems are being used. They are suitable for use in various industries and applications as part of a ISO13849-1 compliant safety system. Some example s of use are,
