Festo Pneumatic Profile Cylinder, 125mm Bore, 80mm Stroke - DSBF Series - DSBF-C-125-80-PPSA-N3-R

This double-acting pneumatic cylinder from Festo is an essential component in mechanical and automation applications. It consists of a piston rod in a housing made of die-cast aluminium that's coated for improved corrosion resistance. For maximum efficiency, it has a port on each end that controls the extension and retraction of the piston by alternating the opening that receives the higher air pressure. You'll find this component used in applications that require the movement of a load in both directions, such as opening and closing a gate.

• Stroke length of 80mm for an extended thrust

• Self-adjusting cushioning to prevent noise and impact vibration

• High advance stroke force of 7363N at 6 bar pressure for heavy-duty applications

• Wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +80°C for use in harsh conditions

Application Information

• Automotive industry

• Aerospace engineering

• Food processing

How does self-adjusting PPS cushioning work?

The PPS (polyphenylene sulphide) material works by compressing air to create a braking effect. It automatically adapts itself to different energy levels generated by changing loads and speeds.
