Festo Single-Acting Pneumatic Cylinder, 12mm Bore, 50mm Stroke - ESNU-12-50-P-A

Use this single-acting pneumatic cylinder from Festo to move compressed air through your system. Its small stroke length of 50mm makes it ideal for use in high-precision applications or areas where there's limited space. The cylinder has an M6-sized piston rod thread for simple and secure installation. As it's made of a high-alloy steel material, it's resistant to impact and corrosion for long-lasting use in harsh industrial environments.

• Wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +80°C for use in demanding conditions
• Flexible cushioning ring at both ends to reduce noise and minimise wear for a longer lifespan
• Broad operating pressure range of 1.5 to 10 bar for use in low-pressure and high-pressure applications

Applications

• Automated production lines
• Assembly and packaging
• Spare-parts manufacturing

What's the difference between a single-acting cylinder and a double-acting cylinder?

A single-acting cylinder has only one port and pushes compressed air in one direction only. Its piston is returned to the start position by a spring. A double-acting cylinder has a port at each end, allowing the piston to move in both directions. As single-acting cylinders consume less air, they're more energy-efficient than double-acting cylinders.
