This pneumatic cylinder from Festo is used for automated material-pushing functions in industrial environments. It's a single-acting cylinder, which means that its piston is pushed by air pressure and retracts with the help of an inbuilt spring. This makes it simple to operate and easy to maintain. To allow it to function without supervision and to maximise performance, it can be connected to a proximity sensor that controls and automates its operation. A high-alloy steel cylinder barrel provides superior strength and reliable corrosion resistance.
