SMC AF30-D Series Pneumatic Filter, 5μm Filtration size, 4000L/min Maximum Flow Rate - AF30-F03-D

This pneumatic filter provides particulate removal and condensate separation for compressed-Air systems used in industrial automation and maintenance environments. It is intended for inline installation in pneumatic supply lines where controlled Air purity and stable downstream pressure are required. The unit accepts a G-threaded connection and accommodates a 3/8in port, with a transparent polycarbonate collection bowl for Visual monitoring of captured liquid.

Features & Benefits

• 5μm element delivers fine particulate retention and reduced actuator wear
• Maximum operating pressure 10 bar supports higher-pressure plant systems
• Maximum temperature 60°C allows use in warm process environments
• Flow capacity 4000 L/min maintains supply for moderate-demand equipment
• Polycarbonate replacement bowl offers visible condensate inspection
• Drain capacity 25 cm³ facilitates Compact condensate management

Applications

• Suitable for supplying valves and cylinders in factory automation
• Ideal for instrument Air lines in electronics assembly
• Used for pneumatic control panels in electrical equipment rooms
• Can be used for Air preparation on test rigs and bench stations

What pressure range is required for effective operation?

The unit operates across 0.05 to 10 bar with a proof pressure of 1.5 MPa, ensuring safe function within typical compressed-air network pressures.

How should the drain be managed for unattended systems?

The device includes a drain port and can be fitted with an automatic or float-type drain to enable scheduled or automatic condensate removal without manual intervention.

What materials and ratings affect replacement parts?

The bowl and bowl guard are polycarbonate

filtration elements are rated 5μm and should be matched to the same specification when replacing components.

Are there environmental limits for installation?

Ambient and medium temperatures must remain between -5°C and 60°C, and the unit is not intended for use where freezing may occur.
