Allen Bradley MicroLogix 1100, 1200, and 1400 Digital I/O Modules

Customise your control system and give your PLC capabilities that extra, much-needed boost with the 1762 MicroLogix Expansion Input/Output module, designed to be fully compatible with MicroLogix 1100, 1200, and 1400 controllers. These compact, low-cost modules provide additional I/O for applications alongside the built-in I/O provided by the controller, for increased functionality.

The digital expansion module can have 8, 16, or 32 inputs or outputs, AC and DC voltages, AC/DC relay output modules, and is a combination module with 8 inputs and 6 contact outputs. It has a convenient rackless design to reduce costs and decrease replacement parts inventory, and can be either DIN rail or panel mounted as needed, making it both a cost-effective and flexible solution. It is small footprint with high density I/O, which minimises panel space requirements. This reliable expansion module also has an integral high-performance I/O bus and software keying to prevent incorrect positioning, for improved stability.

Maximum Number of Expansion I/O Modules per Controller:

MicroLogix 1100 – 4
MicroLogix 1200 – 6
MicroLogix 1400 – 7

The MicroLogix range of controllers and accessories are expertly designed to maximise the efficiency and capabilities of your machine processes.

What are I/O modules used for?

Input/Output modules (I/O modules) communicate signals and information to a computer processor and transmit responses from the processor to external devices, acting as a mediator. They can be used in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems to automate machine processes. These control systems are often used in industrial automation, for example to monitor and control machinery in production lines. Inputs can be triggered via things like switches, sensors, and buttons while outputs send instructions to devices, such as motor starts and relays. Allen Bradley PLC systems provide dependable and flexible control capabilities to give you seamless performance.
