Are tube cutters and pipe cutters the same thing?
While they do similar jobs, tube cutters and pipe cutters aren't the same. A tube cutter is specifically designed to cut soft materials including plastics and operates by pushing a blade through the tub. A pipe cutter tackles much harder materials such as metals and works by rotating a blade around the pipe to cut it without compressing it.
