Fluke Network Cable Tester, 8.5in Length, 624g Weight - LIQ-100-IE

This network cable tester is a handheld tool designed for commissioning and troubleshooting industrial Ethernet cabling and connected switches. It verifies cable bandwidth up to 10Gb/s, locates pair faults and distance-to-fault, and performs Active diagnostics with connected network equipment to support maintenance tasks in automation and industrial environments.

Features & Benefits

• Qualifies cabling bandwidth up to 10Gb/s for performance validation
• Measures length to faults up to 305m for Rapid fault location
• Identifies switch name, port number and VLAN for nearest-device diagnostics
• Performs PoE load test and reports loaded voltage and power for real-world verification
• Stores up to 1000 test results and exports via USB-C for documentation
• Generates analogue and digital tones compatible with IntelliTone for cable tracing

**Applications**

• Suitable for validating EtherNet/IP, PROFINET and EtherCAT infrastructures
• Ideal for on-site commissioning of PoE cameras and access points
• Used with M12 and M8 terminated cables for industrial connector testing
• Can be used by maintenance teams to diagnose switch port configuration issues

How does it distinguish miswired and split pairs on non-RJ45 connectors?

The tester accepts an industrial adaptor to map pairs on M12X, M12D and M8D terminations and provides a wire map showing pairing and fault types.

What network protocols are used to query connected switches?

It uses LLDP and CDP along with link-layer diagnostics to read advertised data rate, duplex, switch identity and VLAN information.

How is PoE behaviour verified under load?

The unit negotiates PoE via signature and LLDP/CDP, then applies a load to measure loaded voltage and loaded power, reporting powered pairs and available power class.

What storage and reporting options are available for job documentation?

Test results are retained on-device for later export and can be processed with LinkWare PC to generate PDF reports and manage archives.

What charging and Interface options are provided?

The instrument charges and exchanges data through a USB-C host Interface compatible with standard USB power sources.
