RS PRO 5.5 kW Soft Starter, 460 V AC, Three Phase, IP20


Easily stop and start your three-phase motor with this 5.5 kW soft starter from the RS PRO range. It works by regulating one phase of the energy supply during ramp-up and increasing currents in the two non-controlled phases to reduce starting torque. This soft starter is often found in industrial settings.

Easy to install, it can be mounted on a DIN (Deutsche Institut für Normung) rail and linked with an electronic injection brake module to create a complete motor control system. The soft starter has a voltage rating of 460 V and a power rating of 5.5 kW.

As it is IP20 rated so it can be touched by your fingers during installation. Guaranteeing smooth operation, it is commonly used in food production lines to help prevent damage to products if a line stops suddenly. It also lessens the need to maintain gearboxes, belts and chain drives.
