Siemens Soft Starter, 30kW, 480V AC - SIRIUS Series - 3RW4037-1BB14
This soft starter from Siemens is designed to ramp down a 3-phase asynchronous motor. It protects the motor from current overload by reducing peak currents and also stops supply-voltage fluctuations at start-up. The device enables the 2-phase starting of motors up to 55kW while avoiding the current and torque peaks that typically occur in wye-delta starters. A built-in fan ensures the device remains cool during operation for improved efficiency and reliability. Thanks to this unit's compact dimensions of 170 (length) x 55 (width) x 170mm (depth), it's an ideal choice for your standard motor applications.

How does this soft starter protect an electric motor?
It works by adjusting the motor to the load of the driven machine by stepless control of the voltage supply. Mechanical equipment is therefore accelerated softly, which allows it to operate more efficiently and extends its service life.
