Overview


With a high total resolution of 18 bits (AFS60) or 30 bits (AFM60) and a large choice of programmable parameters, the single-turn absolute encoder AFS60 and the absolute multiturn encoder AFM60 are the best references in the field of rotary encoders. The high resolution combined with the high IP protection class allows the use in a large number of industrial applications. Both encoders are equipped with the SSI interface, the AFM60 is additionally available with the combined SSI + incremental and SSI + sin / cos interfaces. Thanks to the large distance to the shaft bearing of 30 mm, the AFS60 / AFM60 product line achieves significantly better rotational properties as encoders with locked ball bearings. Despite the large distance of the bearings, AFS60- / AFM60 products stand out with their compact form. The AFS and AFM60 SSI can be programmed with the PC-based programming tool PGT-08-S or the hand-held programming tool PGT-10-Pro.
