RL78/L12, 16-Bit Microcontrollers, Renesas Electronics

RL78/L12 Group microcontrollers by Renesas have a built-in liquid crystal display (LCD) panel driver that employs the RL78 core which provides a high processing performance while delivering the lowest power consumption in their class.
In addition to a high-precision (±1%) on-chip oscillator enabling 24MHz CPU operation and other standard on-chip functions from the RL78/G13, the RL78/L12 microcontrollers are also equipped with a built-in ultralow consumption LCD circuit (0.63μA by internal voltage boost) that reduces operating current when driving an LCD by 30% compared to previous products.
RL78/L12 microcontrollers support up to 280 LCD segments for panels with many pixels, and three methods of generating LCD drive voltage (internal voltage boost/capacitor split/external resistance division).
