Use this aluminium tape from 3M to shield delicate machine parts from hot or corrosive treatments. It's thermally conductive so spreads heat out, which helps to reduce the chance of hotspots damaging the surface of your equipment. For a firm hold, its acrylic adhesive offers long-term durability. The tape removes cleanly, even when put to the test in harsh applications, so there's no need to scrub off sticky residue.

This matters when comparing to most duct tapes that are made with a rubber adhesive. This is then known to delaminate from its backing in these extreme conditions. Other adhesives can offer greater resistance but will lack mechanical strength, poor ageing resistance and UV light.
