Product Details
Rockwell Automation 1492-SPM1B010-N Single Pole Supplemental Circuit Breaker
If you need highly dependable overcurrent protection for your equipment, try the 1492-SPM1B010-N MCB supplementary protector by Rockwell Automation. This circuit breaker device ensures enhanced safety and greater efficiency of your system to help decrease downtime.
The Rockwell 1492-SP series includes thermal magnetic supplementary protectors which can be used in applications where branch circuit protection is already present (or is not needed).
The 1492-SPM1B010-N model is a 1 Pole + Neutral MCB (Miniature Circuit Breaker) with Trip Curve type B. The rated current is 1A and it has a rated frequency of 50/60 Hz. This unit can be DIN rail mounted in any position for simple and fast installation. It features an indicator window which clearly displays the contact state: red for closed, green for open, allowing quick troubleshooting.
The printing on this protector ensures improved safety and durability as it is scratch and solvent resistant. The 1492 circuit breakers are also IP20 finger-safe on all sides, offering higher protection against electric shock. They also have great longevity, with a high mechanical endurance of 20,000 operations.

What is an MCB and how do they work?
A miniature circuit breaker, also called an MCB, is a type of automatically operated electrical switch. The purpose of an MCB is to protect an electrical circuit against damage caused by excess current. These devices are designed to trip in the event of a short circuit or overload. They contain a bimetallic strip which heats up and bends when exposed to unsafe or abnormal current levels. This causes the switching mechanism to trip and the contacts to separate, interrupting the current and protecting the circuit. MCBs are considered to be more reliable, sensitive, and convenient than fuses and are also resettable.
