The 1492-SPM series of MCB’s are current limiting and have an instantaneous break time. These models have Type B Tripping characteristics. They are IP20 finger-safe and they also have dual terminals for wiring and bus bar flexibility. Installation is simple as these MCB’s can be DIN rail mounted, and up to six accessories can be fixed on the same circuit breaker to provide a complete electrical safety system. The 1492-SPM series of circuit breakers reduces downtime from nuisance tripping due to their enhanced shock and vibration resistance.

A Type B miniature circuit breaker will trip instantly at a rate of three to five times its rated current. These MCB’s are often used for small inductive loads where switching surges are very low. They are frequently used in residential or light commercial applications.

This 2-pole miniature circuit breaker, from Rockwell Automation's Allen Bradley range, stops your electrical equipment from short-circuiting due to current overloads. When the switch reaches its 10kA (kiloamps) maximum current allowance it uses a thermal-magnetic mechanism to trip the circuit. An IP20 (ingress protection) rating indicates the device is resistant to dust or objects greater than 12mm in size, and is also touch-proof, for enhanced user safety.
