Most commonly, a pressure indicator of this type is referred to as a manometer. Druck's DPI 705/IS series is comprised of a variant of handheld pressure indicators. Each one has been constructed to combine a tough, rugged design with accurate and reliable pressure measurements. The DPI 705/IS has been created and designed for single-handed operation, the manometer provides a multitude of essential features that are required for routine maintenance and system troubleshooting. The indicator uses a micro-machined silicon transducer to produce a pressure reading in units of pressure measurement. Facilitating on the go jobs through effortless portability, the DPI 705/IS manometer is accompanied with a soft carry pouch. The carry pouch offers an extra layer of protection for the manometer inside.

The "IS" in the name of a pressure indicator stands for intrinsically safe, if an item is intrinsically safe it means that it is incapable of releasing sufficient electrical and thermal energy under normal or abnormal conditions. This results in the item not being able to cause ignition of a specific hazardous atmospheric mixture in its most easily ignited concentration.
