Siemens Interlock Switch, Screw Terminals, 20N Actuating Force - SIRIUS Series - 3SE5112-0CD02

Protect personnel from machine hazards using this interlock switch from Siemens. It shuts your equipment off when a guard door is open to prevent accidental contact with moving parts. A low actuating force of just 20N means it's highly sensitive, so it quickly reacts to keep you safe. As the interlock switch has a long mechanical service life of 15 million switching cycles, you can be sure of its long-lasting performance, even with constant use. You'll find devices like this on factory production lines and construction sites.

Features & Benefits

• IP67 rating means it's dust-tight and withstands submersion in 1m of water for up to 30 minutes
• Snap-action contacts ensure fast switching
• Screw terminals to achieve a simple and secure electrical connection
• Broad operating temperature range of -25°C to +85°C for use in harsh industrial environments

How does an interlock switch work?

The roller plunger actuator on this switch is pushed down when the guard door is open, breaking the circuit to stop machine operation. When the door is closed, the plunger on the actuator pops back up, causing the machine to restart.
