Schmersal Slow-Action Limit Switch, NO/NC, 230V - TV1H 236-11z

This limit switch from Schmersal is a position sensing device that makes or breaks an electrical connection. It's used in safety applications to switch off machinery or equipment when hazardous situations occur. The unit's contact bridges are galvanically isolated from each other to prevent stray current flow from interfering with its function. A thermoplastic enclosure gives the switch good resistance to vibration and impact and is also highly durable. This device isn't affected by the presence of oil or petroleum, so it's well suited to harsh industrial applications.

Features and Benefits

• Housing has an IP67 (ingress protection) rating, so it's dust-tight and waterproof

• Wide operating temperature range of -30°C to +80°C for improved versatility in use

• Actuator head can be repositioned by 4 x 90° to suit various applications

• Self-extinguishing enclosure that won't burn in the event of a fire

Application Information

• Medical and pharmaceutical industries

• Material handling

• Packaging and processing

What is meant by a slow-action switch?

A slow-action switch like this one features contacts that are characterised by a release position that's the same as the operating position. The switch actuator's speed directly conditions the travel speed of contacts.

Plastic Limit Switch

Design with slow-action contact element and positive break contact

All contact bridges have a double break and are galvanically isolated from each other

Switch with one N/C and one N/O

N/C contacts are positive break contacts in accordance with IEC 204 / DIN VDE 0113 and fulfil the requirements of DIN VDE 0660 Part 206 (security feature)
