The XM-L2 LEDs feature the same 5 x 5mm footprint as the XM-L range, but instead offer a 20% higher lumen output. So it is really straight forward to upgrade your existing designs. You could even use the XM-L2 LEDs to decrease the number of LEDs used in a design to lower costs without reducing light output or quality.

Cree SC³ technology is advanced silicon carbide technology. SC³ LED chips feature technology-leading architecture and phosphor. It offers a higher lumen output with higher efficiency.

The Cree XMLBWT-00-0000-0000T5051 is a cool white LED from the XM-L2 series. It offers a CCT (correlated colour temperature) of 6200K which has a bluish-white appearance.
Cool white LEDs are popular in commercial environments such as offices and retail lighting as they have a slightly colder appearance than warm white LEDS. Cool white LEDs show the contrast between colours clearly, and are more suitable for environments where you may be reading.
