LYTSwitch-3 series LED Driver AC-DC Converters
LYTSwitch-3 single-stage LED driver ICs with combined power factor correction and constant current outputs from Power Integrations. These devices incorporates a high-voltage power MOSFET and discontinuous mode, variable frequency, variable on-time controller integrated into a single chip. They can provide outstanding TRIAC dimming of LED lighting in isolated and non-isolated topologies and include a comprehensive range of protection features.
Combined single-stage PFC plus constant current output drive
Constant current regulation better than ±3% over line and load variations
Power Factor >0.9
Ensures monotonic VA reduction with TRIAC phase angle change
Low THD: 15% typical for dimmable bulbs, as low as 7% in optimized designs
Detects leading-edge and trailing-edge TRIAC dimmers
High-efficiency mode when no dimmer is present
Selectable dimming profile increases design flexibility
Fast turn-on time, <500 ms
Supports buck, buck-boost, tapped buck-boost, boost, isolated and non-isolated flyback topologies
No electrolytic bulk capacitors or opto-isolators for increased reliability and operating life

Output short-circuit and open-loop protection
End-stop shutdown provides protection during fault conditions
