Eaton Rear of Panel Mounted Switch Disconnectors

The P and T range of non-fused switch disconnectors from Eaton provides safe switching, isolating and control. Robust and reliable, these high-performance devices are used primarily in industrial and engineering applications. With the added IP65 ingress protection rating they are ideal for use in harsh environments or applications that require extra protection.
Switch disconnectors are used to isolate electrical equipment before any essential maintenance or repair work can be completed. Switch disconnectors ensure electrical circuits are de-energized safely in accordance with the electricity at work regulations. Engineers and electricians are then able to carry out the necessary works without any electrical risks.

Features and Benefits

• Compact and durable
• Clear position indication
• Padlockable in the OFF position with up to 3 x 8 mm padlocks
• Rear mounting, easily and quickly fitted on to DIN rail or a base plate
• P series switches can be mounted in electrical cabinets or enclosures up to 400mm deep with an additional extension shaft

Applications

The Eaton P and T series of manually operated switch disconnectors are used in a wide range of industrial applications and installations. Some of the most common are

• Machine control panels
• Isolation of circuit breakers
• Transformers and transmission lines
• Switchgear panels
• Distribution panels
• Consumer units

Suitable Accessories include:
Extended shaft kits
• Part number 323-173 is an extended shaft kit for 20, 25 and 32A disconnect switches. They are 25mm long and up to 4 can be connected if required.
• Part number 323-189 is an extended shaft kit for 63,85 and 100A disconnect switches. They are 25mm long and up to 4 can be connected if required.

What is the difference between a fused switch disconnector and a non-fused switch disconnector?

Unlike fused switch disconnectors, a non-fuse isolator switch does not use a fuse to break or put a circuit into isolation, they instead use a rotary switch or knife-blade disconnect to isolate and de-energise a circuit. Commonly used in industrial automation and control settings.

Eaton Non-Fused Isolator Switch, 100 A, 3 Pole - P3-100 Series - P3-100/V/SVB

Use this non-fused isolator switch from Eaton to disconnect individual parts of a circuit from a power source for servicing and maintenance. You can secure it in the OFF position with a padlock for additional safety and security. For easy maintenance, the switch can be reset without having to replace a fuse. You'll often find this type of device used for industrial automation and control applications. This one's suitable for use with a voltage rating of 440 V AC and a 50 kW power rating.

• Ingress protection rating of IP65 indicates protection from dust and low-pressure jets, for safe use in challenging environments
• Three-phase control for versatility
• Clear red rotary switch and yellow locking ring for easy, intuitive operation
• Width of 48 mm and length of 65 mm for easy use
• Wide operating temperature range of -25°C to +50°C, so it can withstand demanding industrial conditions

Where can this isolator switch be mounted?

This switch is designed for rear panel mounting. You can install it quickly and easily on your DIN rail or a baseplate.
